What do you get when you combine the top DFW afternoon radio DJ, a team of ophthalmologists with eyes for charity and a Batmobile? A unique promotion to raise funds and awareness for a very special DFW foundation.
Saturday, October 27, Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center hosted afternoon DJ Russ Martin of 97.1 The Eagle and one of his custom 1966 Batmobiles to raise funds for the Russ Martin Show Listeners Foundation. Fans and patients were invited to take photos with the Batmobile in exchange for a donation to the charity, which benefits the families of police officers and firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty.
In addition to the donations raised from the photos, Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center donated an additional $2000 to support the foundation. “Having worked with Russ and his charity for several years, we’ve seen what a difference it makes in the lives of these families,” said Anthony Evangelista, MD, partner surgeon at Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center. “It’s an honor for us to be a part of this with Russ, and we’re excited for more events like this in the future.”
Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center hosted the event at their beautiful new Plano office, which opened its doors in April. The location allows the surgeons of Kleiman|Evangelista Eye Center to bring their brand of VIP patient care and advanced technologies to the ever-growing north Dallas area.
